Happy March is Reading Month 2024! We are so excited to kick off this special month by wearing R.E.D. to remind us to Read Every Day on Friday March 1st…something we strongly encourage and believe in at Peck Elementary! Our theme this year is “Reading is Our Favorite” so our staff will be pictured with our favorite pieces of literature and we will send links out to families of audio or video of these selections.
You are receiving a calendar of events so you can see some of our special activities for the month. There are many dress up days and a few days where students are asked to bring something in. Please contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions.
Please help us keep your child reading. Nothing will make your child more successful in school than your support of our endeavors at home! We will ask you to send back a reading log every week so we can chart our classroom reading. Our class who reads the most will get a pizza party on 3/23! We will also send home a pledge sheet for our reading marathon later in the month.
